Make Online Payments

The system is now set up to accept your payments for Sewer and Water bills and also for Property Taxes. After the due date printed on the Winter tax bill, Property Taxes must be paid to the Jackson County Treasurer's Office at 120 W. Michigan Avenue in downtown Jackson. They can be reached at 517-788-4418.

Use your MasterCard, American Express or Discover card for Sewer and Water bills. Visa cards are also accepted for Tax payments only.

Paying your bills online can be very easy and convenient. Just be sure to have your bill and credit card handy. There is a fee for this service that is dependent upon the amount being paid. To calculate the fee click here.

EASY PAYMENT VIA PHONE OR INTERNET

To pay by credit card call the toll-free number 1-800-2PAY-TAX (800-272-9829) or visit the link below to pay online. If using the phone system, you must have the

J-code which is 3269.

You will be asked to enter information such as:

      • The type of tax or fee

      • A bill or invoice number

      • Your credit card information

      • The amount of the tax or fee payment

The system will:

      • Tell you the total value of your payment, including the appropriate fee

      • Obtain approval of the charge

      • Issue an onscreen confirmation number and a printable digital receipt.

        Confirmation is emailed to users who request it. The charge will also appear on

        your credit card statement: the tax amount on one line, the convenience fee

        amount on a separate line.

 

NOTE: For property taxes, online payments can only be applied to Summer bills until September 15, 2008 and Winter bills until February 17, 2009. Partial payments of property taxes must be paid directly at the Spring Arbor Township Office.  For Sewer and Water bills, online payment can only be applied to amounts until September 1 of current year. In addition, Sewer and Water payments not paid by due dates will incur penalties and payments must be paid directly at the Spring Arbor Township Office.
