Cemeteries

Spring Arbor Township operates and maintains two cemeteries within the Township. Crouch Cemetery, located near the corner of Reynolds Rd. and Horton Rd., is no longer used for burials and is only maintained. Spring Arbor Cemetery is the primary cemetery in the township located on Main St. Burial rights may be purchased through the office of the Township Clerk. Pricing for the cemetery is as follows:

• $300.00 per grave
• $500.00 for open/close costs for burials (add $100.00 for weekends/holidays)
• $200.00 for open/close costs for cremains (add $100.00 for weekends/holidays)
• $200.00 burial fee for residents
• $350.00 burial fee for former residents
• $600.00 burial fee for non-residents
• .27/sq. in. for foundations

• $100.00 Defrost Charge

The ordinance that regulates the cemetery is known as the Spring Arbor Township Cemetery Ordinance, 39-C .

If you are interested in purchasing burial rights in the cemetery but are not familiar with the layout of the cemetery, you may stop by the township office and look at the map.

The cemetery sexton is Gail Elkins. His responsibilities include arranging for the opening and closing for burials and pouring foundations for markers. Any orders for foundations must be placed through the Township office.
