V03-05 Terry H. Neill, 6600 Horton Rd., Jackson, MI 49201,170-12-26-326-002-00
For a 3 foot side yard setback where the zoning ordinance requires 10 feet. The purpose of the request is to build an addition to the home.
Bob Roedema moved that the variance request be denied. Second by William Jaquays.
Vote to deny variance request 4-1.

V03-06 Robert & Tuesdae Boss, 7128 King Rd., Spring Arbor, MI 49283, 000-12-09-476-001-01
For a 4 foot side yard setback where the zoning ordinance requires 10 feet. The purpose of the request is to build an attached garage.
Motion was made by Beth Kuntzleman to allow the variance, there was no second. Motion was made by David Herlein to deny the variance, second by Bob Roedema.
Vote to deny variance request 4-1.

V03-07 Steve Ladwig & Gordon Milnes, dba Village Crossing (M-60, Spring Arbor), 3522 Scheele Dr., Jackson, MI 49202. 000-12-15-351-001-07
The request is to allow a sign to be attached to the commercial building at a rate of 1 _’ per front footage of building instead of the maximum allowance of _’ per front footage of building.
Motion made by William Jaquays to grant variance request with amendment noted below, second by Beth Kuntzleman. Unanimous vote to approve at 7:39 p.m.

Amended as follows: This variance was granted with the understanding that the sign at the highway comply with the township ordinance.
