Spring Arbor Township Board Minutes: November 25, 2003

A special board meeting of the Spring Arbor Township Board was held Tuesday, November 25, 2003, at 5:30 p.m., with the following members present: Supervisor Will DeGraaf, Clerk Randi DeVries, Trustees Marston Fortress and Brent Williams.   Absent: Treasurer Gloria Melchiori and Trustees Troy Ganton and Patricia Short.

The purpose of the meeting was to review telecommunication permit requests to use the right-of-way in Spring Arbor Township.

NEW BUSINESS:

A.  Telecommunication Permit Request - Verizon.   Motion was made by Williams and supported by Fortress to approve the right-of-way telecommunication permit for Verizon following the guidelines from the Metro Act.   Roll Call: 4 yes.

B.  Telecommunication Permit Request - Michigan Bell Telephone.   Motion was made by Fortress and supported by Williams to approve the right-of-way telecommunication permit for Michigan Bell Telephone following the guidelines from the Metro Act.   Roll Call: 4 yes.

C.  Repair of College St. Lift Station.   The Supervisor discussed the needed repairs for the College St. Lift Station, noting that it would take three to four months to order the necessary parts.   Cost is projected up to $30,000.00.   Motion was made by DeVries and supported by Williams to replace the #2 pump and the intake valve in the College St. Lift Station (main station - station #1) for approximately $30,000.00.   Roll Call: 4 yes.

Adjournment.   Motion was made by Fortress and supported by Williams to adjourn at 5:40 p.m.
