Spring Arbor Township Board Meeting: March 03, 2004: (Special Meeting)

A special board meeting of the Spring Arbor Township Board was held Wednesday, March 3, 2004, at 6:00 p.m., with the following members present: Supervisor Will DeGraaf, Clerk Randi DeVries, Treasurer Gloria Melchiori, Trustees Marston Fortress, Troy Ganton, Patricia Short and Brent Williams.

There was no public comment.

The purpose of the meeting was to review the budget prepared by the Budget Committee.   The Supervisor presented a summary of the state revenue sharing received for the current fiscal year and the projections for the next fiscal year.   He then reviewed the salary increases scheduled for the office employees.

The Budget Committee, in preparing the budget, recommended increases to the application fees for variances, site plan reviews, conditional use permits and rezoning requests to be effective April 1, 2004.   The board members discussed the increases.

The Supervisor then reviewed the proposed budget amounts scheduled for maintenance and equipment purchases.   The board members agreed to delete some of the items in the budget.

A budget meeting was scheduled for Thursday, March 25, 2004 at 6:00 p.m., with the budget hearing to follow at 6:30 p.m.

Adjournment.   Motion was made by Fortress and supported by Ganton to adjourn at 7:53 p.m.
