Planning Commission 11-14-06

The regular meeting of the Spring Arbor Township Planning Commission was called to order by Chair Fortress on Tuesday, November 14, 2006 at 7:30 PM at the Township Hall.

Members Present:   Fortress, Herlein, Jacobson, Melville, Poleski, Short, Williams.

Members Absent: Holton, Roth.

Visitors Present: Township Supervisor DeGraaf.

APPROVAL OF MINUTES OF PREVIOUS MEETING:

Motion by Jacobson, supported by Williams, to approve the minutes of the October 3, 2006 meeting.   Motion carried.

PUBLIC HEARING CONCERNING PROPOSED AMENDMENT TO ZONING ORDINANCE:

Chair Fortress announced the opening of a public hearing concerning the proposed amendment to the Light Industrial section of the Zoning Ordinance, Section 4.5.1 B 2, to add self-storage units as a conditional use at 7:32 PM .

No public attendees.   Chair Fortress declared the Public hearing closed at 7:35 PM .

ACTION TO RECOMMEND ZONING ORDINANCE AMENDMENT TO TOWNSHIP BOARD

Motion by Jacobson, supported by Herlein, to forward to the Township Board the proposed addition to the Zoning Ordinance of Section 4.5.1 B 2 concerning self-storage units as advertised, with our recommendation that such addition be approved.   Motion carried.

Upon motion by Jacobson, supported by Short, the meeting adjourned at 7:50 PM .
