Planning Commission Minutes: 06-01-04

The meeting was called to order by Chairman Fortress. Members present were: M. Fortress, C. Jacobson, K. Melville, A. Short, and J. Williams. Absent were: R. Roth, D. Evans, E. Poleski and R. Holton

Visitors were: Ruth Scott, Jack Schineman II, David Moss and Doug Jones.

The minutes of the May 4, 2004 meeting were approved.

Received the minutes of the May 20, 2004 Zoning Board of Appeals.

Site Plan Review #SPR04-2–Spring Arbor University (Art Gallery) ,106 E. Main(#000-12-16-353-003-01)

Mr. Jones, Mr. Moss and Mr. Schineman II explained the Site Plan Review for Spring Arbor University (Ganton Art Gallery). Mr. Schineman II explained the on-site grading. Motion by Short, seconded by Williams to approve the Site Plan pending resolution of the issues raised by OMM Engineering. Resolution will be confirmed by letter from OMM Engineering recommending approval. Motion passed 5-0.

Mr. Fortress questioned the parking at the University. Mr. Jones briefly discussed several future proposals for parking.

A discussion was held concerning recreational vehicles parked in front yards and possible ordinance changes. There was no action taken. Mrs. Scott and Al Short will develop additional Ordinance language for consideration.

Mrs. Scott passed out the proposed Site Plan Review and Approval for study.

As there was no further business, the meeting was adjourned at 8:42 p.m.
