Planning Commission Minutes: 01.07.03

The Planning Commission meeting was called to order by Chairman Fortress at 7:30 p.m.

Present: M. Fortress, C. Jacobson, R. Holton, D. Evans, K. Melville, R. Roth, E. Poleski, and J. Williams

Absent: A. Short

Visitors were: Ken Moe, Mike Kesterson, Will DeGraaf, John Lucas, Jack Ripstra, Bruce Hildenbrand and Ruth Scott.

Minutes of the December 3, 2002 meeting were approved.
Site Plan Review-John Lucas (Dearing Rd.) Cambria Site Condominium #000-12-10-151-003-01

Jack Ripstra explained the proposed site plan consisting of 15 single family sites. It would have public water and sewer, lot sizes would average one acre. No action was taken until review of plans by O.M.M. Engineering.

Site Plan Review-Ken Moe (3049 Sandstone Rd.) #000-12-14-126-002-00
Mr. Moe explained the use of his storage building and presented his site plan. A motion by Holton, second by Jacobson to recommend approval. Motion passed 8-0.

Site Plan Review-Kowach, Inc. (Chapel Rd.) #000-12-09-351-001-11 – Village Green
Mr. Ripstra explained the proposed site plan of Village Green condominiums of 16 duplex units on a private road. Mr. Kesterson presented the layout of the duplex plans which included garages between units. This site plan was presented for review only.
Ruth Scott guided us through the proposed Open Space Preservation Ordinance. After a lengthy discussion, the acceptance, the deletions and the changes are per Ruth Scott’s notes. Ordinance will be reviewed by Bob Grover and Region II before final consideration by the Board.

The minutes of the ZBA meeting of December 10, 2002 were received.
There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned at 9:15 p.m.
