Planning Commission Minutes 01.04.05

The meeting was called to order by Chairman Fortress.   D. Evans, C. Jacobson, A. Short, M. Fortress, J. Williams, R. Roth and K. Melville. Absent were: C. Jacobsen and A. Short.  

Visitors were: Carmen Bradley, Bill Bradley and Ruth Scott .

The minutes of the December 7, 2004 and December 14, 2004 meeting were approved.

Conditional Use Permit C04-7 – William & Carmen Bradley, 205 S. Harrington Rd. (#000-12-05-401-003-02) A Conditional Use Permit has been requested by William & Carmen Bradley for Conditional Use of property zoned Agricultural for the purpose of parking his asphalt paving business vehicles on his property.   A motion by E. Poleski, seconded by D. Evans, to recommend approval to the Township Board for the requested Permit to store asphalt paving equipment.   All equipment to be stored behind existing barn and is limited to no more than 4 trucks; 1 grader, 1 backhoe, 1 paver , and 2 equipment trailers.

Motion passed 7-0.

Chairman Fortress passed out a revised draft of a proposed Amendment to the Zoning Ordinance regarding the extension of sewer and water systems within and to residential, commercial and industrial developments.   The proposal was discussed by the Planning Commission and agreed to in concept; although several unexplained issues need further clarification by our attorney.   Long-range Land Use Committee will review once responses are received from the attorney.

As there was no further business, the meeting was adjourned at 8:20 p.m.
