Planning Commission 01-02-07

The regular meeting of the Spring Arbor Township Planning Commission was called to order by Chair Fortress on Tuesday January 2, 2007 at 7:34 PM at the Township Hall.

Members Present : Fortress, Short, Jacobson, Holton, Herlein, Poole , Melville, Roth

Members Absent : Williams

Visitors Present :

Moved by Jacobson, second by Holton to nominate Dave Herlein as secretary, motion carried.

Introduction of Bob Poole as new member of Planning Commission. Bob replaces Earl Poleski.

Moved by Short, second by Holton to elect Marston Fortress as Chairman. Motion carried. Moved by Roth, second by Jacobson to elect Al Short as Vice Chair. Motion carried.

Approval of Minutes:

Motion by Holton and supported by Roth to approve Dec. 05, 2006 minutes. Motion carried.

Discussion of Zoning Ordinance Issues:

Language to be advertised to public for Feb. meeting concerning signage for Day Care Centers.

  Language to be ready for board review at Feb. meeting concerning site plan review, checklist and storm water drainage.

Other:

  Melville and Herlein expressed willingness to serve new terms on Planning Commission pending township board approval.

Upon motion by Jacobson, supported by Roth, the meeting adjourned at 8:17 PM .
