Goals
Expand
sewer and water system based on township land use plan, populations
study and economics. Expansion plan document to be
completed by March 1, 2003. Assigned to Supervisor DeGraaf.
Reduce
crime (as measured by crime per resident) in the township,
especially vandalism, larceny, traffic violations, breaking and
entering, assaults, drug problems and weapons violations. Ongoing.

Develop
public safety ordinances that will improve the quality of life
and help reduce crime in
the township. Model ordinance
to be presented to the board by July 1, 2000. The ordinances
were effective on April 21, 2000. Assigned to Chief Ratkiewicz.
Increase
police involvement with programs in the local schools. Initiated
by September 1, 2001. Inactive due to lack of funds.

Develop
plan with MDOT for traffic flow on M-60. Completed by January
1, 2003. Assigned to Supervisor

Design
long-term plan for fire equipment replacement, maintenance and
upgrades to meet need arising from growth. Plan

be presented by September 1, 2000. Completed in October 2000.

Create
fire safety plan for the township that addresses response time,
hazardous materials inventory,
youth and
adult education,
personnel training, and reporting system. Complete
by January 1, 2001. Assigned to Chief Greenslade.
Review
and revise park plan by June 1, 2000. Completed by September

Implement
park plan by September 1, 2002. Assigned to Clerk DeVries.
Analyze township office operations, assess unmet
needs, and identify operations improvements. Complete
